At last week's second hand book sale in the Civic Theatre, I bought three books written by Ursula K Le Guin. Today I learned she had lived in Portland, Oregon.
Hollie, I'm wondering if there's any "monument" to her somewhere in Portland; a bookshop perhaps, a statue in a park, I don't know. See what you can find. I recommend "A Wizard of Earthsea" - every budding wizard, male, female or otherwise, should know this book :-)
I didn't know that she was from Portland, I'll have to check some of her books out of the library!
